What we collect
We only collect what you give us directly through a form on this site. That usually means your name, email address, and whatever you wrote in the message field — for example when you RSVP to Open Mat, request a discovery call, apply for the Teachers Program, or subscribe to our letters.
We also collect basic, non-identifying technical information (browser type, approximate region, pages visited) so we can understand how the site is being used and keep it working.
How we use it
- To reply to you and continue the conversation you started.
- To send occasional letters, invitations, and practice notes — only if you asked us to.
- To coordinate sessions, workshops, and gatherings you signed up for.
- To improve the site and the way we hold this community.
What we never do
- We never sell your information.
- We never share your email with unrelated third parties.
- We never add you to a list you didn't ask to join.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this site and send email. These include our hosting provider, our email provider (Gmail), and analytics tools where applicable. They only see what they need to do their job, and they're bound by their own privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions and correspondence as long as they're relevant to our conversation with you. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by writing to hello@beginnermind.example.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: every email from us includes an unsubscribe link, or you can visit /unsubscribe anytime.
- Access and deletion: ask us what we have on file, or ask us to delete it, and we'll act within a reasonable time.
- Correction: tell us if something we hold about you is wrong and we'll fix it.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and note it above. For anything sensitive, we'll also let you know directly.
