Terms & Conditions

These are the simple ground rules for using this site and taking part in what we offer. By using Beginner Mind, you agree to them.

This page is maintained by the team behind Beginner Mind to answer common questions about how we work together. It is written in plain language and is not a substitute for legal advice — if you need clarification, write to us at hello@beginnermind.example.

Who we are

Beginner Mind is a community and learning space for people beginning again. In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to the team behind Beginner Mind. "You" means anyone using this site or joining any of our offerings.

Using this site

You're welcome here. In return, please use the site in good faith — don't misrepresent yourself, don't try to break things, and don't use it for anything unlawful or harmful to others.

Our offerings

Sessions, workshops, gatherings, and programs are offered as invitations to practice — not as therapy, medical care, or professional counseling. If you are navigating a mental or physical health condition, please consult a qualified professional.

Bookings and payments

  • Prices, dates, and details are as shown on the page at the time of booking.
  • Payment confirms your place; we'll follow up with details within 24–48 hours.
  • Refunds are handled per our refund policy.

Community conduct

Practice asks for a container where everyone can arrive as they are. We ask that you treat other participants, teachers, and staff with respect. We may, in rare cases, ask someone to step back from a session or program if their behavior is harmful to the group.

Content and intellectual property

The words, teachings, and design on this site are ours (or used with permission). Feel free to share links and quote us with attribution; don't reproduce whole pages, courses, or materials without asking.

Your submissions

When you fill in a form or write to us, you keep ownership of what you share. You give us permission to read it, respond to it, and use it to coordinate what you asked for. See our Privacy Policy for more.

No warranties

We do our best to keep the site accurate and available, but we can't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. The site and offerings are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or participation in an offering. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Meaningful changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Beginner Mind operates. Any disputes will first be raised with us directly at hello@beginnermind.example — we'd much rather talk it through than escalate.
