Refund Policy

If something isn't right, we want to make it right. Here's how we handle refunds — simply, and without fine print.

This page is maintained by the team behind Beginner Mind to answer common questions about how we work together. It is written in plain language and is not a substitute for legal advice — if you need clarification, write to us at hello@beginnermind.example.

7-day refund window

You have 7 days from the date of purchase to request a full refund on any workshop, session, or program — no questions asked, provided the offering hasn't started yet or you've attended less than one full session.

How to request a refund

Write to us at hello@beginnermind.example with:

  • Your name and the email you used to book.
  • What you booked and when.
  • A short note — you don't have to explain, but it helps us improve.

We aim to reply within 24–48 hours and process approved refunds within 7 business days, back to your original payment method.

After the 7-day window

After 7 days, or once you've attended more than one full session, refunds are handled case by case. If life happens — illness, emergency, a genuine change of circumstance — write to us. We're human, and we'll do what's fair.

Programs and multi-session offerings

For longer programs (like the Open Path or Teachers Program), the 7-day window applies from the program's start date. If you decide within that first week that it isn't the right fit, you'll receive a full refund.

Free events and letters

Open Mat, the monthly Teachers Gathering, and our newsletter are free — there's nothing to refund. If they're not serving you, simply unsubscribe or stop attending, no explanation needed.

Workshops we cancel

If we cancel a workshop or session, you'll receive a full refund automatically — regardless of the 7-day window.
